Jeff Brink

Jeff Brink was the Co-Founder and Director of Flight Operations at Aerobo, a premiere aerial cinematography drone company that garnered industry attention when they launched the company with a short film shot in Chernobyl, a place no drone had flown previously.  During his 3 years at Aerobo, he led the team of engineers and pilots in developing complete, production-ready, aerial systems for filming services.  Jeff wrote the General Operations and Safety Manuals which allowed Aerobo to secure one of the first 333 Exemptions to fly legally in the U.S.  Furthermore, using his background in film, Jeff helped pioneer heavy lift drones through many world's firsts including being the first to fly the Alexa XT and 3D stereo REDs. Jeff continued to provide aerials for films such as Fate of the Furious, Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, and Bad Boys for Life until he saw a new opportunity in LED technology.

Jeff has recently transitioned to lighting programming and has now started Blackout Lighting Console, a full-featured console in a mobile iPad App for film productions, while he continues to program on TV shows and movies such as John Wick 3 and West Side Story.

Jeff has strong New York film connections and brings with him extensive skills in both lighting and camera movement having worked on productions of all sizes.  Additionally, through his experience creating an app and managing iOS developers, he has picked up a great deal in computer networking, programming, and managing and diagnosing DMX issues.  Jeff’s unique skill set allows him to make changes in lighting at the same time in the real world and virtual world. Once the content is created in Unreal, Jeff is responsible for managing and manipulating the content in the way Directors and DPs need. As LED walls are becoming more popular with the booming virtual production opportunities, Jeff strives to continue furthering his skillset by creating a film production friendly workflow for managing and operating LED volumes.
